Night light

A magic experience of the light at night

Welcome to the night cave…
A piece of cloth is pulled aside as the audience is invited to enter. Seated in a semicircle near a stage embraced by textile walls, the spectators themselves become a part of the little ’sitting room’ where the nocturnal journey begins.

The blackbird sings and welcomes the night. Soon everybody is sleeping save one who can’t fall asleep – one who is curious to know: Who’s taking care of the night?

Lamps and light chains, tables with doors, drawers and cupboards full of surprises spring to life. The magic room contains a gentle, shining and melodic universe – a marvellous journey has begun through the dark and beautiful night. Only when the blackbird once again welcomes a new day, the night – and the journey – will be drawing to its close.

The play mixes beautiful visual effects and various musical elements of everything from fun fair rhythms and slow tunes to happy voices, footsteps and water splashes. With more than 250 runs in various countries, the play has already put a smile on the faces of children and adults alike all over the globe.
